In these times of the unexpected and the unknown, it is good to have the Solid Rock on which to stand. To have His direction, the Lord Jesus (Yeshua), and His Word is necessary for our lives these days.
Publishing life’s journey, for others to follow, has been a joy to share with you. This book contains some of what I have experienced.
A few of these messages were written while with the Christian Friends of Israel ministry team from Jerusalem; I have included them as they were sent out via email.
I hope you are blessed and encouraged, and that your walk with our Lord is strengthened in your reading time.
And…I included photos and images which I enjoyed taking and creating!

Love Letters
Discovering what makes you “tick”, or energizes you, may be a good indicator of your calling in the Lord. Even if you are retired and wondering, “What next, Lord?”
That happened to me earlier in my life (and several times since), as I was seeking the Lord and His will. But it was not easy.
Reading His Word; asking others for counsel and advice; receiving prophetic words…I was for sure looking for that next part of the journey as best as I knew how.
“What next, Lord?” had been an ongoing question.
In 2010, after coming back from another Israel trip, having just started Love For His People ministry, that question was foremost in my mind.
I am sure you too have been at that crossroads along your path before.
His response, which came as clearly in my mind as I again write about it here, was quick and unexpected.
“Write love letters.”
And thus began by ongoing love for writing about Him, about what He was revealing to me, and how to encourage others.
I knew I wasn’t a Bible theologian. Nor was I one to stand up in front of others and expound on the 88 reasons why Jesus was coming back when others said He was. (I’ll let others do that.)
My task, which has become my joy, was to write words of encouragement, as if they were love letters from the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
And you know that has been a real joyous gift He has given me.
What are your gifts? Are you using them to bring about His Kingdom, share His love, reach out to a dying world?
He will direct your path to and with them as you ask Him to.
“What next, Lord?” May be your question too. So, keep asking Him until He shows you.
“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.” 2 Corinthians 13:14, NASB

Remember
Most of our memories from “way back when” are good ones. The ones we cherish and look to as guideposts and solid rocks on which our lives were shaped and refined.
Those “markers” in days gone by when we lived the moment, and we swore we would never forget them, are good memories.
“Keepers” for the future to tell our children and grands. (My son Ben often says, “That’s a good memory” after a new one has been completed.)
In May 2023, nine of us from our home group and beyond went on a journey overseas. In time it became known as the “Nine By Design,” as together we traveled the land where Jesus (Yeshua) walked. In this the Land and nation of Israel, we saw and remembered what He did and still does.
By all accounts, out of the mouths of the bonded friends, “that was a good memory” as we reflect on that trip past.
“I shall remember the deeds of the Lord; I will certainly remember Your wonders of old.” Psalm 77:11 NASB
Often our Father’s Word encourages us to remember. Sometimes it is even a command, for He knows we best not forget His promises, His provision, His ongoing faithfulness in our lives. Because of Who He is, and our need for Him daily.
“Since God us assured us, I’ll never let you down, never walk off and leave you,” we can boldly quote, God is there, ready to help; I’m fearless no matter what. Who or what can get to me?” Hebrews 13, The Message
Give some time to meditate on what the Lord has done, for you, your family, your nation. If you do not end up with a “Thank You, Lord” in your spirit, then you have not thought long enough.

Determination
Our walk with the Lord will bring us to events and situations where we are going to have to either stand strong, or we will turn and run. In my life, I have made that decision already. My life is His. I will stand, so help me God.
Yeshua (Jesus) had made that decision too. He was determined to do the Father’s will, and He did it.
We must choose to be as He was, and have the determination to do what is right before that time will certainly come.
“The Master, God, has given me a well-taught tongue, so I know how to encourage tired people. He wakes me up in the morning. Wakes me up, opens my ears to listen as one ready to take orders.
The Master, God, opened my ears, and I didn’t go back to sleep, didn’t pull the covers back over my head. I followed orders, stood there and took it while they beat me, held steady while they pulled out my beard.
Didn’t dodge their insults, faced them as they spit in my face. And the Master, God, stays right there and helps me, so I’m not disgraced.
Therefore I set my face like flint, confident that I’ll never regret this. My champion is right here. Let’s take our stand together! Who dares bring suit against me? Let him try! Look! the Master, God, is right here.
Who would dare call me guilty? Look! My accusers are a clothes bin of threadbare socks and shirts, fodder for moths!” Isaiah 50:7-9, The Message
When I was the office manager of a Canon copier dealer in Lansing, Michigan, between 1980-1987, I was asked to do an invoice for the company, billing a location that I had heard did abortions. I refused to do so. I wanted no part in it.
I would have been around 26, and we had three young kids at the time. I couldn’t afford to lose my job, but my Lord told me I was not to do that invoice. I told the owner as such.
He then made his wife, the co-owner, do the invoice. (In later years they asked me to become Vice President of the company, but even then the Lord had called me on to other work for Him, and that meant a move to Fort Lauderdale, Florida to work for Derek Prince Ministries.)
Are we going to stand as Christians, when faced with decisions that will go against the actions and beliefs of those around us?
Now is the time to make that determination. Not when the time to stand faces us head on. We will need to have made that decision already.
Christians, and Jews, are among the most persecuted in the world. Times have not changed since Jesus’ time. We know the Bible says the same days are coming for us.
Decide now what you are going to do when called upon to choose.
