They Love Too
One of the joys of traveling in ministry is meeting new people. Especially those who are halfway across the USA in the state of Texas.
On Monday, while with our Christian Friends of Israel ministry team, I met and spent time with three couples (one my age in their 70s and two the age of my children, in their 40s) at a home meeting of about 24. (It was a big house. Yes, everything is big in Texas as they say.)
I like their names. I particularly love their heart for the Lord Jesus and thus their hearts for Israel and His Chosen people the Jews.
Ben is married to Cristen (her spelling.) James and Jamie are almost newlyweds (in their 70s.)
Thomas is from Pennsylvania but moved to Dallas 50 years ago. (Says he is not an NFL fan, so no Dallas Cowboys support there.) His wife Julie treasures him. (Just an observation.)
I gave them each a copy of my 40th book, “Back To Jerusalem”, being we had been talking about the red heifers in Shiloh, with a chapter in the book, with an abundance of photos of course!
Laurie and I had the joy of seeing the four red heifers, originally Texan cattle, now in Israel, in December 2025. I was able to interview their keeper, Larry Borntrager, a Mennonite from Indiana, and write of him also in a full chapter.
These are good people who support Israel too.
They continue to learn of the Lord’s heart for the Land and those He has, and continues to, bring back, to their promised Land.
As believers, He has chosen us to lift up Jewish arms and bring His love to them. Blessing them brings blessing to us.
“Comfort, O comfort My people,” says your God.” Isaiah 40:1
As we continue to travel this vast land of Texas, taking His Word of support as Christians for the Jews and our comforting work in Israel, His Holy Spirit, Ruach HaKodesh, is directing our steps (and loaded van) to meet more who love Him, and love His people.
Be blessed as you do the same.

Stories People Share
As I continued on our ministry tour across Texas with Christian Friends of Israel Jerusalem, with six in the van ranging from 37 years to 84 (three men and three women), I am amazed at the stories people tell me at each stop.
My tasks on this trip include driving the vast miles, overseeing the book table, and leading worship as called upon. But it also is giving a listening ear to the people who love to share their stories with me. (Especially the ladies, who we all know tend to speak with more words than us regular guys. Just sayin’.)
In Abilene, Texas, home of the Camp Barkeley Fellowship, the worship leader came to the book table and began telling me of her 25-year old Texas A&M daughter befriending a similar age Israeli man at college. He was on the soccer team.
Being the girl was a music major and loved to write songs, even in other languages, this young man helped her write a song in Hebrew and learn correctly how to pronounce the words as she would sing it.
This song became her “ending song” for her concerts.
The Jew said he was not”religious” but often in his encouraging words to her he unknowing quoted Scripture. She would then tell him that. (Someday he too will believe in the same Messiah.)
I love how the Lord Yeshua (Jesus) connects people. One New Man is what He is making us to be.
“The Messiah has made things up between us so that we’re now together on this, both non-Jewish outsiders and Jewish insiders. He tore down the wall we used to keep each other at a distance. He repealed the law code that had become so clogged with fine print and footnotes that it hindered more than it helped. Then he started over. Instead of continuing with two groups of people separated by centuries of animosity and suspicion, he created a new kind of human being, a fresh start for everybody.” Ephesians 2:15, The Message

June 7, 2026
I have been spending the first week of June here in Texas with Christian Friends of Israel Jerusalem. Three have come from Israel joining three of us here in the States.
Having been staying in a Princeton, Texas home, to son of our team member Parthenia, David, has been a joy to get to know.
He is 37, loves to worship the Lord, walks 6 miles a day, and just graduated from his special school.
I brought with me a bright red “America 250” hat and wore it a few days briefly. I am not one to normally wear a hat though.
David asked if I could have a hat like that. Being I didn’t have another I said, “Here, I’ll give you this one.”
He is a patriot and loves the hat!
Be blessed,
Steve Martin
